Welcome Baby Jovie!

Jovie was born on, October 28, at 4:oo P.M. she weighed 6.9 pounds.

Washington D.C. here I come!

I am so very lucky to have a sister that lives in Washington D.C. Hutton and I both get to 

go to Washington D.C.  November 7 to be exact. We are going to see the Pentagon, White house,

Mt. Vernon, Natural history museum, Space museum, Georgetown, "and have a nice breakfast"

and do some shopping. I am so excited too go. I am going to have lots of pictures! 

Here is the Butter cream frosting recipe.

1. 1 1/4 cups butter, room temperature
2. 2 tsp vanilla
3. 1 tsp almond extract
4. 8-9 Tbl milk
5. 7 1/2 cups powdered sugar 
   Mix with electric mixer. Just to warn you this makes alot of frosting. I hope you enjoy it!

One of my favorite cakes....

This is one of my favorite recipes for cake, this cake is called Wacky Cake it's a very moist cake it's delicious with homemade butter cream frosting and ice cream "mmm...." Here is the recipe for the cake and frosting.

Here is the Wacky cake recipe. 

1. 2 cups sugar
2. 3 cups flour
3. 6 Tbl cocoa
4. 2 tsp salt
5. 2 tsp baking powder
6. 2 Tbl vinegar
7. 12 Tbl melted butter 
8. 2 cups of water
9. 2 tsp vanilla

preheat oven to 350 for 25 minutes. You will need a 9x9 cake pan. This serves 8 Enjoy! (:

I have been tagged!

Princess Day Out

I decided to take some really cute pics of my little sisters, they all wanted to wear princess

dresses and I thought that would make all the pictures even more amusing . And of course they looked Soooooo cute. Here they are.  The bird house you see in the picture is one us kids made for my mom out of old barn wood for Mothers day.
